Quando famosos tesouros ao redor do mundo são roubados, entre eles o lendário diamante Pantera Cor-de-Rosa, o inspetor-chefe Dreyfus (John Cleese) é obrigado a convocar o inspetor Jacques Clouseau (Steve Martin) para integrar uma equipe internacional de investigação.
